Tuart Hill Dental is a preferred/participating provider to most of the major health funds. This allows patients to receive their maximum benefit entitlement of up to 100%.

Below is a list of Health Funds we are participating providers to:

• HBF (Health Benefit Fund)
• BUPA (otherwise known as SGIO, MBF, HBA and Mutual Community)
• HCF
• CBHS
• NIB

In addition to this, we also participate in Government schemes such as Veteran Affairs, Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS) and also other current Medicare schemes.

No-Gap Dental for kids

As Tuart Hill Dental is a Member plus health provider, patients may also be eligible for “no gap dental for kids” for general and preventive dental services. This means you don’t pay a cent for their treatment!

HICAPS

HICAPS allows for instant electronic claiming and quoting of health fund benefits. That is, once your treatment session is over, our staff, using your health fund card, can claim the services rendered on your behalf so all you need to do is pay the gap.

With most health funds, we can also use your card to quote any future treatments for you. This way, you always know your out-of-pocket expense before your session begins.

Remember – you must always have your health fund card with you at every appointment.

Veteran Affairs

At Tuart Hill Dental we offer services to Department of Veterans’ Affairs cardholders. If you are a gold or white cardholder you may be entitled to a number of dental services without any out-of-pocket expenses.

Child Dental Benefits Schedule

The Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS) commenced on 1st January 2014 and will provide access to capped benefits of $1000 over 2 years for eligible children aged 2-17 years to receive basic dental services. It has replaced the previous Medicare Teen Dental Plan.

Services that receive a benefit under the program include examinations, x-rays, cleaning, fissure sealants, fillings, root canals, extractions and partial dentures.

The result has been that families who otherwise could not afford their childrens dental examinations and cleans can now have this service provided annually by us at Tuart Hill Dental.

Remember – you must always have your Medicare card present with you for each of these appointments.
